Our team work is soon to come to an end...

The change of Bureau is coming in the next few weeks.
So here is the process:
Marie has been designated as our next New Vice president from our meeting last July (for those who were present that day in Starbucks coffee).

The next bureau will be composed of:

President
Treasurer
Secretary (which will also take in charge the responsibility for Newsletter)

Then the next president will have to create his own team (like this year). Again, the election is for the administrative function.

Election Process:
• If there is one person for one position, then this person will take the function.
• If there is more than one person for one position, then we’ll have a second round and have an electronic vote (through mail). The mails will go to directly to Sacha and my mailbox.

L'Essec fête cette année les 100 ans de sa création. Pour l'occasion, 100 événements sont organisés tout au long de l'année 2007 à travers le monde.

L' événement Chine se tiendra le samedi 3 novembre à partir de 14h à l'hôtel Sofitel Wanda autour des thèmes de l'éthique et du leadership sous le haut patronage de S.E Hervé Ladsous, Ambassadeur de France en Chine, et de S.E Wu Jianming, ancien Ambassadeur de Chine en France. De nombreuses personnalités issues du monde des affaires ou de l'éducation y prendront la parole. Vous trouverez ci-joint le programme de la demie journée. Nous vous attendons.

With a new year, come new students....if you'd like to meet the new chinese students and help us welcome them, come participate in our fun integration weekend! The schedule of the weekend activities is the following :

Saturday 8th :

• 4 pm : meet and greet with the new students.(meeting point at 4 pm in front of the RER C "Champ de Mars" station)
• 6 pm : picnic on the Champ de Mars.
• 8 pm: start of the boat cruise from Pont de l'Alma. Cost : 5 Euros per student.
• 9.10 pm : End of the cruise.

Sunday the 9th :

Trip to the Parc Astérix!

• 8.20 am : meeting at the Palais Royal metro station.
• 6.30 pm : return to Paris.

Cost for the day (entrance+ trip) : 45 Euros

Dear ESSEC Alumni,

You are already aware that ESSEC's Centenary, one of the milestones in our School's history, is being celebrated in China by all members of the ESSEC community. As you know, the Centenary will feature a special celebration in Shanghai. The ambition of the Centenary concept is to consolidate the values upon which the School has been based for the past 100 years, values which continue to be upheld today within the ESSEC community.

ESSEC Alumni of Asia, students and professors are cordially invited to attend a professional seminar presided by Dr. Pierre Tapie, Dean and P resident of ESSEC Business School, in Shanghai , centred on management issues in China – and how to solve them.

This event will take place on 23 June 2007 at Tongji University , Shanghai, and will be followed by a networking cocktail and a din ner , to all of which you are welcome to come accompanied.

We will also organise on the following day a special trip in Hangzhou, one of the most pleasant tourist places near Shanghai, for all ESSEC Asia community members and their families.

For this occasion, we are also creating a Resume book for the ESSEC Asia community which will be provided to various international and regional executive search firms invited at the seminar.

Please find enclosed your invitation and information concerning the Resume book. We hope that it will provide you with a more complete view of the project. An early reply is highly recommended so that your resume can be incorporated in the Resume book.
